Communicating in a Digital World

Welcome back to EduCus Insider, the series where we take you behind the scenes at EduCus HQ. This week, we sit down with Bill, Sales Representative, to chat about what makes EduCus unique, his best advice for EduCus learners, and more.

My favorite part about working at EduCus is the positive environment. I believe this environment is built on our jobs having a great amount of meaning. We see and hear the appreciation and success stories of the learners. They express how much they have enjoyed taking the courses, and the impact the courses have had on their lives. Everyone at EduCus feels inspired and continues to work to achieve the same goal of increasing access to high-quality education for everyone, everywhere.

What advice would you give to someone pursuing a career in sales?

My advice to an individual pursuing a career in sales is that you must be passionate about what you are selling. No matter the product and or service, potential customers can sense your confidence and whether you believe you can solve their needs.

What’s your favorite course you’ve ever taken?

I loved taking the Managing Disruptive Change course. It’s evident that both business and life tend to move at a fast pace. To tend to this fast pace, this course taught me the value of constantly adapting and changing to advance, improve, and achieve greater results.

My advice to EduCus learners is simply to start taking courses. The more courses you complete, the more knowledge you will have. The more knowledge you have, the more you will be able to advance. These courses will also help improve your resume. Most of our courses are self-paced, which gives learners the opportunity to work with their own schedule. I would also encourage learners to consider the MicroMasters® programs. MicroMasters program students can apply to the university offering credit for the MicroMasters program certificate and, if accepted, can pursue a Master’s Degree.
